PAIR EDUCATOR PROGRAMMEE RCSD believes conservation education; WASH education, which plays a key role in achieving Climate Resilient Water Safety, quality life and sustainable development. Initiated in 2020 with the launch of its first school child club and youth volunteer ecoclub, women group, female community health volunteer (FCHV) in Surkhet, RCSD has continued to invest and expand its volunteer program to empower, encourage and motivate them. As a cross cutting theme, WASH, Disaster and conservation education is integrated across all of major program priorities, with an ambitious goal of educating, engaging, and empowering a wide network of young people, Women, Dalit and indigenous people. The program strongly emphasizes on school and youth outreach programs through learning by doing paradigms and works towards ensuring equitable access to educational resources, promoting social action models, and developing a district wide youth network , Women leader, child club to build pro-environment and biodiversity values among the next generation. RCSD aims to promote practice-based priorities and leverage on partnerships with likeminded organizations, local government, community and private sector to expand youth outreach, enable growth and scalability to solve the challenges facing the environment.
WHY WE WORK IN PAIR EDUCATION PROGRAM Youth Initiative for NRM, WASH improvement and Bio-diversity conservation projected to rise by year 2030, youth, women and people from dalit and ethnical group should be given the opportunity to meaningfully participate and contribute in decision-making processes to secure a sustainable planet. RCSD Pair Educator program along with the youth engagement works to support mobilization, participation, decision making leadership and empower child club, youth group, and beneficiary women and target group to become change makers, mobilizers, and leaders, and reduce pressure on natural systems and protect global biodiversity.
